Sept.15 2005: Video editing changes pretty quickly and I no longer use any of the software or hardware mentioned on the older page. If it is of interest, in 2005 I edit DV and HDV video using Sony Vegas version 6b running on a Windows XP system with 1 GB memory and 1300 GB of disk storage. That seems like a lot, but I'm still almost out of disk space.

Sony runs some useful user forums for their software, including Vegas. There is also a Creative Cow Vegas Forum.
